NSDC Secretary of Ukraine Rustem Umerov held a meeting with French Minister of the Armed Forces Catherine Vautrin

On Saturday, February 7, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov held a meeting with the Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs of the French Republic, Catherine Vautrin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current security situation in Europe and Ukraine, Ukraine’s priority needs in countering the armed aggression of the russian federation, as well as further areas of bilateral cooperation in defense and military-technical support.

“France is one of Ukraine’s key partners in the field of security and defense. We highly value the consistent support of the French Republic and count on further deepening cooperation to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and the security of the European continent,” Rustem Umerov emphasized.

Catherine Vautrin reaffirmed France’s unwavering support for Ukraine in its just struggle for freedom, independence, and territorial integrity, and assured of France’s readiness to further develop practical cooperation with the Ukrainian side in the defense sphere.
