Address by the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine on the Day of Remembrance of the Krut Heroes

Today we honor the memory of the Heroes of Kruty.

The Battle of Kruty became a symbol of choice — to fight for Ukraine even when the enemy has numerical superiority. To buy time for the state, to continue the struggle for Independence.

The feat of the young Heroes proved that the Ukrainian state stands on responsibility and readiness to sacrifice for the sake of the future.

Today, once again, we are defending our right to be Ukrainians. Just as more than a hundred years ago, the enemy remains the same. But today Ukraine has a strong army, a powerful defense industry, and the support of partners.

Millions of Ukrainians stand united on a single front against the aggressor to complete the feat of our ancestors. And we will definitely do it!

The Heroes of Kruty are not just a page of history. They are a reminder: freedom has a price, and Ukraine is ready to defend it.
