The forum became an important platform for discussing the current state and future prospects of Ukrainian–Latvian cooperation in the fields of security, military-technical cooperation, and the development of the defense-industrial complex. Forum participants focused on practical aspects of interaction aimed at strengthening the defense capabilities and resilience of both states.

During the discussions, a number of key issues were raised that will have a decisive impact on shaping the regional security architecture in Europe. In particular, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of transforming the defense industry under conditions of full-scale war, Ukraine’s experience in ensuring continuity of production and innovation, as well as effective models of interaction between state institutions and defense-sector enterprises. Special attention was paid to prospects for deepening partnership between Ukraine and Latvia in the military-technical and defense-industrial spheres, including the exchange of experience, technologies, and joint projects.

“Ukrainian–Latvian cooperation in the field of defense goes far beyond technological interaction. It is based on mutual trust, shared responsibility, and a common vision for the future of European security. We are sincerely grateful to Latvia for its consistent support, leadership, and solidarity with Ukraine. We are convinced that the joint efforts we are making today will become an important contribution to strengthening Europe’s security in the long term,” emphasized David Aloyan, Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine.
