Coordination meeting to align positions on Draft Law of Ukraine No. 12349 “On the Cyber Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”

On January 16, 2026, at the initiative of the NSDC Staff of Ukraine, a coordination meeting was held with the participation of representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR), and members of parliament to align the positions of relevant stakeholders regarding the draft law “On the Cyber Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” with the aim of facilitating its faster adoption by the Verkhovna Rada.

As a result of the discussion, a decision was made to submit the existing remarks from the General Staff and the HUR to the relevant Committee in order to promptly refine the draft law and finalize it.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the adoption of this draft law is key to establishing capable and effective Cyber Forces in Ukraine. In the context of russia’s cyber aggression, this is an urgent task for strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities in cyberspace.
