Extending the duration of martial law and general mobilization: NSDC Secretary presented two draft laws in the Verkhovna Rada

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine extended for another 90 days, until May 4, 2026, the duration of martial law and general mobilization.

The draft laws approving the Decrees of the President of Ukraine “On the extension of the duration of martial law in Ukraine” and “On the extension of the duration of general mobilization” were presented in parliament on Wednesday, January 14, by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov.

“Martial law and mobilization remain key legal instruments for ensuring the defense and protection of the state in the conditions of russia’s ongoing armed aggression. I thank the Members of Parliament for their responsible position,” noted NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.
