Secretary of the NSDC Rustem Umerov met with Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, Espen Barth Eide.

During the meeting, the parties discussed practical steps to strengthen defense capabilities and coordination of efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

Rustem Umerov informed Espen Barth Eide about the situation on the frontline and russia’s daily shelling of civilian infrastructure in our country, especially energy facilities.

“I am grateful to Norway and to Espen Barth Eide for their consistent financial and security support for Ukraine. Thank you for Norway’s important decision to allocate a new assistance package worth $400 million, which will be directed toward strengthening the energy sector,” emphasized Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
