Since the beginning of 2025, the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center, with the support of Canada and in cooperation with CRDF Global, has conducted a series of activities aimed at building the capacity of Ukraine's National Cybersecurity System, including raising awareness of cyber threats, developing human resources, and promoting cross-sectoral cooperation.

Last week, a working meeting was held between the head of the Information Security and Cybersecurity Service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Secretary of the NCSCC Natalia Tkachuk, and Olivier Pelletier, First Secretary, Embassy of Canada to Ukraine. The parties discussed expanding cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, exchanging experience, organizing joint educational and analytical events, creating a Cyber Resilience Center, strengthening cyber protection in the regions, developing Ukrainian products in the field of cybersecurity, promoting gender equality, in particular through a national initiative to strengthen the role of women in cybersecurity and involve them in the strategically important field of digital security.

"Cyber threats know no borders. That is why it is important for Ukraine to combine international experience and consolidate partners around a common goal – cyber resilience and trust in our state. We are grateful to Canada for its support, which is of great importance for our security today and for the development of resilience in the future," Natalia Tkachuk said during the meeting.

In addition, an example of effective cooperation between Ukraine and Canada is the Canadian side's participation in projects within the Tallinn Mechanism. In particular, Canada is allocating UAH 92 million (CAD 3 million) to implement a number of strategic initiatives, including strengthening cyber protection of critical infrastructure, developing systems to counter cyberattacks, conducting training programs, and supplying equipment.

The National Cybersecurity Coordination Center continues to expand its partnership with Canada, combining efforts to implement both international projects and national initiatives that strengthen Ukraine's cyber resilience.

Systemic interaction with Canada is an important factor in building our country's cybersecurity and resilience, strengthening Ukraine's ability to counter cyber threats and promoting the development of strategic international partnerships.
