The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine held a meeting with Miroslav Lajčák, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Slovakia on Foreign Policy and National Security.
The meeting was also attended by Pavel Vizdal, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine, and Juraj Sedmak, Deputy Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine.The parties discussed regional challenges and the security situation that directly affects European countries.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine informed the Slovak side about Ukraine's efforts towards comprehensive and just peace, and thanked them for their support on this path.
“Ukraine is ready for genuine peace talks to end the war, but a just and lasting peace is only possible if the state has strong and consolidated support from the US and the European Union,” Rustem Umerov stressed.
