Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov met with US Presidential Representative Keith Kellogg

A meeting between Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and US Presidential Special Representative Keith Kellogg took place in Kyiv.

During the talks, the parties discussed security guarantees for Ukraine and practical steps to strengthen them. Separately, they discussed the PURL initiative, which allows for the financing of arms purchases in the US. Seven countries have already joined the program, and the amount of funds raised has exceeded $2 billion. Ukraine aims to expand the participation of European countries in this initiative.

“Through joint efforts, we are strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and transatlantic unity. We highly appreciate the continued support of the United States as a key strategic partner in the war for freedom and independence,” emphasized NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.
