NSDC Secretary and Lithuanian Ambassador discuss security and cooperation

The working meeting between NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Lytvynenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Inga Stanite-Tolocienė on Thursday, June 19, was dedicated to security issues and deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania.

Oleksandr Lytvynenko informed about the current security situation in Ukraine, in particular about the growing intensity of missile and drone attacks aimed at civilians and infrastructure. He also expressed gratitude to the people of Lithuania for their unwavering and unconditional support, military, financial and humanitarian assistance, as well as for the Republic's active participation in promoting Ukraine's foreign policy initiatives.

For her part, Inga Stanitė-Tolocienė emphasized that the government and society of the Republic of Lithuania demonstrate absolute unity in supporting Ukrainians.

The parties discussed the measures to be taken to ensure the collective security of the Euro-Atlantic area and Ukraine, exchanged views on cooperation in support of Ukraine's European integration aspirations and its future membership in the EU.
