Oleksandr Lytvynenko met with Professor Timothy Garton Ash: Discussed Ukraine's aspirations for peace

On Monday, May 12, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko met with Professor Emeritus of St. Antony's College, University of Oxford, Timothy Garton Ash.

The parties discussed the current security situation in Ukraine, countering the spread of Russian propaganda and disinformation, and building a new European security architecture.

In particular, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine emphasized the importance and necessity of further assistance from partner countries to Ukraine, as well as support from the international community to create effective tools for achieving peace.

For his part, Timothy Garton Ash noted that he supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine and our desire for peace.
The participants identified priorities for continuing fruitful, effective and long-term cooperation.
