Oleksandr Lytvynenko discussed with the Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine the Global Peace Summit and ways to end the war
Holding the Global Peace Summit which aims to achieve a just peace in compliance with all international law, is a priority for Ukraine. This was emphasised by Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko during a meeting with a delegation from the Italian Embassy to Ukraine.
The parties discussed the implementation of the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and possible ways to end the war in Ukraine.
Oleksandr Lytvynenko thanked the Italian people for their all-round support of our country in the fight for freedom and common European democratic values, as well as for military and humanitarian assistance. The Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine also briefed the delegation on the current needs of the state, taking into account the situation on the frontline and the state of the energy sector.
In the course of the dialogue, the interlocutors shared their views on the Group of Seven Summit to be held in Italy in June. In particular, the Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine Pier Francesco Zazo outlined his country's priorities during the G7 presidency and further support for Ukraine. He also expressed his support for the Ukrainian people in their fight against the russian aggressor.
The parties noted the importance of continuing the positive dynamics of bilateral contacts, and agreed on further steps on this track.
