Staff meeting: Avdiivka – a new line of defence, Krynky – marines securely hold the bridgehead

Avdiivka – a new line of defence, fortification of the borders, further intentions of the enemy. Krynky – marines securely hold the bridgehead. This was emphasised by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on 22 February after a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff.

“We considered in detail the situation in Avdiivka and Southern sectors. Avdiivka is a new line of defence, fortification of the borders, further intentions of the enemy. Krynky - our marines are securely holding the bridgehead. The enemy managed only a disinformation operation”, – the President of Ukraine noted.

During the Staff meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov reported.

“I heard the latest changes in the operational situation from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. The situation in all major areas, defensive actions and some offensive operations. Supply and consumption of ammunition, missiles and drones. I heard information about the enemy’s plans from the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov”, – Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

A separate closed report was devoted to F-16 aircraft, including the number of the first batch to be delivered to Ukraine, the timing of receipt, preparation of infrastructure and personnel.

“We have clarified the calendar for further training of pilots, technicians and the receipt of the next aircraft”, – the President of Ukraine summed up.
