Zelenskyy appointed a new Commander of the Territorial Defence Forces to the Staff

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed a newly assigned Commander to the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Anatolii Barhylevych.

Relevant Decree No. 699/2023 is published on the web-site of the President of Ukraine.

“…to appoint Anatolii BARHYLEVYCH, Commander of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to the personnel composition of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

According to the Decree of the President, former Commander of the TrD Forces Ihor Tantsiura and dismissed head of the State Emergency Service Serhii Kruk were removed from the Staff.

Anatolii Barhylevych is Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since 09 October 2023 – Commander of the Territorial Defence Forces of the AFU, since 2022 – Chief of Staff of Operational Command East. During 2020-2022, he was Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of the AFU for Territorial Defence.
