NCSCC conducts two-day training on cybersecurity and cyberintelligence for security and defense sector specialists
On May 15-16, 2023, the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center at the NSDC of Ukraine, with the support of CRDF Global in Ukraine and the U.S. Department of State, held a two-day training on cybersecurity and cyber intelligence for security and defense professionals on "Tools, Services and Threat Intelligence in the Cybersecurity Sector.
The event was attended by more than 20 representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The training was conducted by experts from the Internet 2.0 cybersecurity organization under a recently signed memorandum of cooperation.
"Professional development of cybersecurity specialists is an important component of the implementation of the Cybersecurity Strategy of Ukraine. That is why the NCSCC constantly conducts specialized trainings and pays special attention to the security and defense sector. Unfortunately, there is a war in Ukraine, and every day our military are at the forefront not only in the physical but also in cyberspace, protecting Ukraine from constant attacks by russian hackers," Head of the Information Security and Cybersecurity Service of the Staff of NSDC of Ukraine, the NCSCC Secretary Natalia Tkachuk said.
The participants of the training mastered the latest cybersecurity technologies, including threat detection and response, vulnerability scanning and traffic analysis, intelligence gathering and document analysis. The specialists also tested their skills by completing a number of tasks.
The acquired knowledge will allow the specialists of the cyber units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform cyber defense tasks more effectively, which in turn will bring us closer to Victory.
