Poland is one of Ukraine's key and most loyal partners, providing us with large-scale and timely military assistance

On Friday, May 12, 2023, Head of the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Ziuz met with a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland headed by Director of the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Malgorzata Kosciura-Kazmirska.

During the meeting, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation and Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

Andriy Zyuz emphasized that "today the Republic of Poland is a friend and one of Ukraine's key and most loyal partners" and thanked for the financial, political and military assistance to our country.

"We are fighting for our right to exist. We are fighting for life, the russians are bringing us death. We are fighting for the future, they want to live in the past. Today we share common European values," he said.

Andriy Zyuz also said that "Ukraine must win the war, but not lose the peace," emphasizing the importance of effective post-war transformation of Ukraine as a European state.

In her turn, Director of the Eastern Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Malgorzata Kosciura-Kazmierska stated that Poland's support for Ukraine is constant.

"Now is a critical moment when decisions are being made and the framework of our cooperation is being defined. Ukraine's transformation should be linked to its integration into the European space. It is also important for us that Ukraine not only wins, but also receives security guarantees from its partners," she said.

The meeting was also attended by experts from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
