Natalia Tkachuk: Exchange of experience with Great Britain in countering disinformation and cyber attacks is important and relevant for Ukraine
The exchange of experience with Great Britain in countering disinformation and cyber attacks is important and relevant for Ukraine. This was emphasized by the Head of the Information Security and Cybersecurity Service of the Staff of NSDC of Ukraine, the NCSCC Secretary Natalia Tkachuk during a meeting on January 23, 2023 with representatives of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the City of London Municipality, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.
Natalia Tkachuk noted that Great Britain is one of the key and most important partners of Ukraine, particularly in matters of cyber protection and combating disinformation.
"Last year, Great Britain updated the legislation in the field of national security, in particular regarding countering disinformation and cyber attacks. The country has strengthened cooperation with Internet providers, companies Meta and Google to identify and eradicate disinformation from social networks, as well as strengthened state control in this area. This experience is extremely important and relevant for Ukraine, because the war is going on, and we are fighting with the russian federation in information and cyberspace as well," Natalia Tkachuk said.
The head of the service also noted that Great Britain supported Ukraine from the very beginning of the cyber war, noting that by now the whole world has realized that the russian federation is a terrorist country.
Natalia Tkachuk added that now it is a priority task for Ukraine to strengthen the system of information and cyber security. "We continue to improve the national cyber security system every day, in particular in the field of public-private partnership. Today, all Ukrainian business, cyber volunteers and the state are united to fight the enemy. I want to thank the representatives of the private sector for their help and activity, because together we launch many important projects, realizing that we can effectively interact and defend the country both in physical and cyberspace," the Head of the Information Security and Cybersecurity Service said.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, business associations and the private sector.
