In the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine discussed the issue of strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure objects from Russian attacks
The issue of strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure facilities of the energy industry against attacks by russian invaders, the main problems and ways to solve them were discussed in the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine during a meeting chaired by Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Serhii Demedyuk.
Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, NEC "Ukrenergo", the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine and other interested agencies took part in the event.
"Energy generating and distribution companies are the No. 1 target for the occupiers. Therefore, on the eve of winter, it is very important to protect these objects from the enemy," said S. Demedyuk.
Iryna Tymoshenko, Head of the critical infrastructure security service of the NSDC Staff, emphasized that following the results of the meeting, plans were drawn up for further work on the protection of critical infrastructure objects (ICI) and interaction between the relevant ministries, departments and operators of the ICI.
