Sea Breeze-2021 international military exercise demonstrates the ability of member states to jointly perform tasks according to NATO standards
Sea Breeze-2021 international military exercise, which started on June 28 this year in the Black Sea and became the largest in more than 20 years, ended up.
More than 5 thousand military servicemen from 32 countries trained in the Black Sea, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. This exercise demonstrated the ability of member states to jointly perform tasks according to NATO standards.
On July 10, the official closing ceremony of the exercise took place in the House of Officers in Odessa.
During the celebrations, on behalf of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, for his significant contribution to the national security and defense of Ukraine, assistance in defending Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty, high professionalism, and on the occasion of the Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain of the 2nd rank, Commander of the HMS Defender Vince Owen was awarded a badge “Defender of Ukraine”.
For conscientious and impeccable service to the Ukrainian people, personal courage and heroism in military service and on the occasion of the Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General, Commander of the Marines of the Ukrainian Navy Yuriy Sodol was awarded a badge “Defender of Ukraine”.
Servicemen of the Ukrainian Naval Forces were awarded Medals of Honor of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of the 3rd degree.
