Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov held an online meeting with Head of the National Security Bureau of the Republic of Poland Pawel Soloch.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current security situation in the region, paying special attention to the events in Belarus and the post-election situation in Moldova, on which, according to Mr. Danilov, "Russia has no desire to lose influence".
"Yesterday's decision of Moldova's parliament to designate Russian as the language of interethnic communication is very dangerous", - the NSDC Secretary said.
The parties also paid particular attention to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, to the provision of mass vaccination of the population of our countries.
The NSDC Secretary and the Head of Polish BNB expressed confidence in the need to intensify further cooperation between the security agencies of our countries in the "Lublin Triangle" format with further possible involvement of Romania to cooperate given the security situation in the Black Sea and in the context of next year's NATO Summit.
In addition, Mr. Danilov supported Mr. Soloch initiative to organize an open online conference on the security situation in the region at the beginning of next year. The parties agreed to deepen the exchange of information between the agencies and to start work on the organization of the conference.
