Oleksiy Danilov: A roadmap for attracting foreign investment in the domestic defense industry should be developed, in particular, in terms of deep modernization of aircraft
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov visited «Radioniks» LLC and «Telekart-Prylad» LLC enterprises as part of the control over the implementation of measures to create high-precision weapons control systems and implement automated troops control systems.
Mr. Danilov and representatives of the delegation of the NSDC Staff, which included Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Serhiy Demedyuk and specialists of the Council Staff, got acquainted with the equipment, technological processes and production capabilities of enterprises and spoke with their top-management and employees.
During the visit to the research and production complex of «Radioniks» LLC (Bila Tserkva), the delegation checked out components of guided aviation missile armament for the «Neptune» anti-ship missile, as well as onboard equipment for modernizing armament control systems of MiG-29 and SU-27 aircraft, which are produced using high technology and modern trace element base.
During the visit to «Telekart-Prylad» LLC (Odesa), samples of command and staff vehicles at various transport bases for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mobile and launch command posts, equipment and software were presented.
The leadership of the NSDC Staff was informed about the implementation of research work for the deployment of automated command and control systems, in particular, applying the NATO methodology.
The NSDC Secretary noted that the products produced by these enterprises in accordance with NATO standards are competitive on the world market of armaments and military equipment, and expressed his gratitude to the employees for their contribution to ensuring national security and defense of Ukraine.
«These products meet the latest requirements and can satisfy a significant part of the relevant needs of the army, - Mr. Danilov said. - The creation of modern automated control systems for troops and the development of high-precision weapons of domestic production is one of the key priorities set by the NSDC decision».
In this context, the NSDC Secretary stressed the importance of scientific and technical development of the domestic defense industry, the enterprises of which should focus on the production of new equipment while preserving and developing critical technologies and establishing closed production cycles where relevant.
Mr. Danilov noticed that a roadmap for attracting foreign investment in the domestic defense industry should be developed, in particular, in terms of deep modernization of aircraft on the AFU’s armament and localization of production of modern communications for the army in Ukraine’s territory.
