The task force at the NSDC Staff conducts round-the-clock monitoring and analysis of the situation regarding the spread of the new coronavirus

On January 20 this year a task force to monitor and analyze the situation regarding the spread of the new coronavirus (2019-n-CoV) was established at the NSDC Staff.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov noticed that the situation with the spread of the new coronavirus is under constant control, and the NSDC Staff has all the necessary and complete information on this matter. According to him, the monitoring of the spread of the new coronavirus (2019-n-CoV) is being carried out in relation to the countries of Asia (primarily the PRC), Europe, the US, and the CIS countries with which Ukraine has a common border.

Measures taken by foreign authorities to prevent the further spread of the virus are analyzed and studied round-the-clock, as well as statistics on pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

The Ukrainian authorities are implementing planned measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

In such a way, since January 26 this year, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has established temperature screening of passengers on direct flights from China at Boryspil airport. Specialists of the sanitary-quarantine unit are already prepared and equipped with infrared thermometers. Animals imported into Ukraine undergo a special inspection of veterinary services.

The Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has published updated WHO recommendations on international transportation due to the outbreak of a new coronavirus, in Ukrainian translation.

In general, as of January 26 this year, no problematic situations related to the spread of the coronavirus in Ukraine have been identified, the situation is fully controlled, nationwide infectious specialized medical institutions are ready to provide relevant aid to citizens.
