Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov met with Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the investigation of the Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737 flight PS 752 plane crash in Iran, the current security situation in Europe and the world. The parties paid particular attention to intensifying security cooperation.
The NSDC Secretary reported on the work of the group of Ukrainian experts in Iran at the crash site.
In his turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki expressed his condolences on the occasion of the Boeing 737 flight PS 752 plane crash in Tehran.
Concerning the issue of bilateral cooperation, Mr. Danilov expressed his suggestion on the need to intensify strategic security cooperation in the region, in particular between Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic states. "We are neighbors, we share a common history, and we need to work together to make our countries strong and powerful", - the NSDC Secretary said.
Mr. Cichocki assured of Poland's unwavering stance on the need to maintain sanction pressure on the Russian Federation, and also stated about the readiness to provide all possible assistance in the investigation of the tragedy of the Ukrainian aircraft.
The meeting also covered the preparation for the visit of Head of the National Security Bureau of the Republic of Poland Pavel Solokh scheduled for the end of January this year.
