Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Sergiy Kryvonos is paying a working visit to Istanbul (Turkey).
During the meeting between the Deputy NSDC Secretary and Director General of SC "Ukroboronprom" Aivaras Abromavicius with President of the State Agency for Defense Industry of the Turkish Republic Ismail Demir and Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey Mustafa Varank the state and perspective of strategic cooperation in the defense-industrial complex were discussed.
"A meeting with the leadership of BAYKAR was held on deepening and expanding cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey, - Mr. Kryvonos said. - Today, it is important to present our AN-178 and continue the negotiation process".
The Deputy NSDC Secretary highly praised the event for youth and students "TEKNOFEST 2019" organized by the Turkish defense leadership. "At the old Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, an exhibition is held - young people, students in the form of a quest, lectures and adventures get acquainted with the defense industry of the country and its products. Turkey is actively investing a lot in young people, and these are future employees and drivers of the Turkish economy", - he noticed adding that such an approach should be implemented in Ukraine.
