A meeting of the working group on reforming the cybersecurity sphere within the national security system of Ukraine took place at the NSDC Staff.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, with the participation of the NSDC Secretary cybersecurity advisor Andriy Zyuz.
"In a world of rapid IT development, issues of cybersecurity and cyberdefense concern not only the public sector but every citizen who owns a smartphone or interacts with a computer or tablet. Also, the cybersecurity services market should be open to the private sector within the framework of public-private partnership", - Mr. Zyuz pointed out.
The working group included representatives of parliament, public authorities, the IT industry, experts, academics, and representatives of civil society.
In particular, the meeting was attended by Advisor to the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Information and Communication Oleksandr Danchenko, representatives of the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance.
During the inaugural meeting, the current state of cybersecurity, urgent threats and ways of neutralizing them were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to develop a comprehensive package of changes to the legislation in the field, the implementation of best practices of the US and EU countries, the need to enhance public-private partnership, etc.
