The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine unanimously supported the proposal to the President of Ukraine to invoke martial law for 60 days. This was stated by Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov after the meeting of the Council which considered the issue of declaring the state of martial law.

In the comments to journalists, the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov reported that the relevant decision of the President of Ukraine should be approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which is scheduled to meet on November 26 at 16:00 at an extraordinary session.
