The Ukrainian-Indian Working Group on Military-Technical Cooperation is holding a meeting in Kyiv
From June 4 to June 6, a meeting of the Ukrainian-Indian Working Group on Military-Technical Cooperation is taking place in Kyiv.
In the framework of the event, First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy met with the delegation of the Republic of India headed by Shambhu K. Kumaran, Joint Secretary (Planning and International Cooperation) of the Department of Defense of the Ministry of National Defense.
The interlocutors discussed the state of bilateral military-technical cooperation. "We already have experience in implementing defense contracts for the Indian side, so we are determined to expand such interaction, which will be beneficial for both countries. It is gratifying to note that the Indian side has identified the priorities of cooperation with Ukraine, which should later become part of India's "Made in India" program", - Mr. Hladkovskiy said after the meeting.
The parties emphasized the importance of cooperation with Ukraine as a country developing high-tech equipment and armaments, in particular, gas turbine engines for ships, aircraft engines, and modern armored vehicles.
Representatives of the Department of Defense of the Ministry of National Defense expressed their interest in engaging private companies - both Indian and Ukrainian - to cooperation, and proposed to host a conference for representatives of the defense-industrial complex with the participation of companies of all forms of ownership.
