First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy paid a visit to the State of Kuwait

First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy paid a visit to the State of Kuwait.

During the visit, Mr. Hladkovskiy met with Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kuwait Mohammed Khaled Al-Khadher; the parties underlined the importance of cooperation in the military-technical sphere and emphasized the necessity of its further intensification.

During the meeting of First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine with Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority Farouk Al-Bastaki, the issue of attracting Kuwaiti investments in the Ukrainian economy was considered.

Besides, Mr. Hladkovskiy held a meeting with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kuwait Khaled Al-Jarallah, during which he expressed gratitude for the assistance in holding an exhibition of weapons and equipment of Ukrainian production in Kuwait.

The unmanned multifunctional armored vehicle "Phantom-2", the anti-tank guided missile "Skif", and the light portable missile system "Corsar" were demonstrated to the representatives of Kuwait defense institutions. A demonstration flight of the multi-purpose transport aircraft AN-178 also took place.

"I am pleased to acknowledge that representatives of the Kuwaiti defense institutions have shown a keen interest in our AN-178 aircraft. The Ukrainian party is ready to launch negotiations on cooperation in this direction, both regarding sales and joint production. Moreover, I consider the Kuwaiti market to be extremely promising for the development of military-technical cooperation, starting with the armored industry and high-precision armament, and ending with large-scale aviation projects", - Oleg Hladkovskiy noticed.
