Oleksandr Turchynov: Today, we made a serious step towards the restoration of our country's air defense

Today, the military exercises, during which test launches of guided medium-range missiles are carried out, are being conducted in the south of Ukraine. This was announced by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov on completing the tests.

According to him, the missiles proved their fighting characteristics and accurately hit the target. "The missile systems that were tested can reliably hit both air and surface targets", - Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine emphasized underlining that training and missile launches were held in accordance with the approved program. "That means, they were held at the precisely scheduled time and in the exactly planned place", - he added.
