Oleg Hladkovskiy: Ukraine and Turkey have a significant potential for cooperation in the defense sphere

First Deputy to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Hladkovskiy paid a working visit to the Republic of Turkey.

On invitation of the Turkish party, Mr. Hladkovskiy participated in the Musiad defense industry exhibition in Istanbul.

During the visit, First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine, in particular, conducted negotiations with Director of the Secretariat for Defense Industries of the Republic of Turkey Іsmail Demir. In the course of the negotiations, the parties discussed the major areas of cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey in the defense-industrial complex.

"It should be especially emphasized that today Turkey is one of the priority countries for cooperation in the field of defense production. Currently, both Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey are facing global security challenges which, I am convinced, we can overcome only by combining our efforts and potential. One of the main goals is to open joint enterprises that would meet the needs not only of our countries but also ensure the successful entry into other markets. I can tell that Ukraine, for its part, will do all necessary for such enterprises to work smoothly in the nearest time", - Oleg Hladkovskiy noticed.

First Deputy to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine also held a meeting with the top management of the leading Turkish companies Aselsan, Havelsan, and Roketsan.

"The production of your companies is of interest for the Ukrainian party. At the same time, as far as I know, you are also interested in Ukrainian technologies that can significantly improve the product capabilities. Therefore, the best option in this situation is to combine our technical and your investment opportunities", - Mr. Hladkovskiy stated.

He particularly emphasized bilateral collaboration in the aerospace, aviation and armor industries, cooperation in the fields of communication and production of UAVs.
