Training center for snipers of the National Guard of Ukraine operates in line with the high standards of NATO. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov while handing over to fighters of the National Guard of Ukraine the new experimental sniper weapons, produced in the domestic enterprise State Company "Ukrboronservis".

On Friday NSDC Secretary of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov and the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Yuriy Allerov visited the new Training center for snipers of the National Guard of Ukraine.

"Professional training of snipers is one of the priority tasks, which our military face today, and the National Guard of Ukraine carries it out in line with the high standards of NATO. The task for our professionals - to neutralize and destroy the terrorists and enemy snipers, who, in violation of the Minsk agreements, work against our military in the area of ATO", - NSDC Secretary of Ukraine said.

"This is a difficult task that requires a top-level efficiency, and exactly in this Centre our fighters pass the high quality professional training, gain experience and knowledge which may save lives of our soldiers and officers", - he added.

Mr. Turchynov stressed that the domestic enterprises today provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine both with a heavy weapons and military equipment and a wide range of high-quality small arms.

"Everyone knows the arms, developed by Ukrainian company "Fort" - a famous manufacturer of small arms: pistols, sniper rifles, machine guns and assault rifles", - he said, adding that the Concern "Ukroboronprom", in particular, State Company "Ukroboronservis" has launched the production of sniper arms of various calibers, which should conform to the standards of international manufacturers.

Mr. Turchynov handed over to the military the first batch of experimental sniper rifles. "Today we hand over the arms not only to improve the combat training, but also for its testing as in the Training center for snipers, so directly on the battlefield, and your comments and suggestions will be quickly considered by engineers and manufacturers to improve the quality and reliability of the arms" - NSDC Secretary of Ukraine noted.

Therewith, Mr. Turchynov stressed that on the base of the Center a research and development laboratory will be established for research and creation of special ammunition for sniper weapons, "the use of which will allow destroying the enemy at a long distance".

NSDC Secretary of Ukraine thanked "all the heroes who with dignity and courageously carry out their military duty".
