“The establishment of an international tribunal to investigate cases on downed “Boeing” at Donbas in 2014 – is a joint initiative of Ukraine, the Netherlands, Australia and Malaysia”, – Turchynov

The establishment of an international tribunal to investigate the case on downed "Boeing" at Donbas in 2014 - is a joint initiative of Ukraine, the Netherlands, Australia and Malaysia for an independent investigation of this event.

"All who are interested in the responsibility of terrorists for the massacre, support this initiative. At the same time Russia in purpose to hide its crime, was trying to derail the investigation in any possible way and mislead the public. You remember their versions and witnesses "telling something about Ukrainian aircraft then the Ukrainian missile, then some other mediocre and false versions", - NSDC Secretary Oleksander Turchynov said in an exclusive interview to "Interfax-Ukraine", answering the question about Kyiv's attitude to this initiative of Malaysian party.

According to him such provocations from the Russian party have no sense because it is unequivocally proven that the Russian "BUK", which was operated by the Russian military, shot down a civilian aircraft from the occupied territory. "It is an obvious fact, confirmed with a huge evidence base. In other words it‘s not an assumption, it is a proven fact. And of course the tribunal, the creation of which we fully support, will investigate this subject so Putin and his associates realize that they will have bear responsibility", - NSDC Secretary stressed.

Oleksandr Turchynov is convinced that, being aware of the considerably severe responsibility for such actions, Russia attempts to block the final stage of court proceedings on this case. "I am convinced that Russia as a country which has turned its troops into the bloody terrorists and bears full responsibility for this crime, has to be the respondent in this tribunal and has neither moral nor legal right to block the decision on its establishment", - the Secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine concluded.
