NSDC Secretary meets with advisers to the President of Lithuania
On Wednesday, 11 September, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko met with advisers to the President of the Republic of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys and Rima Malakauskienė.
The meeting focused on the security situation in Ukraine, in particular the consequences of the daily attacks of the aggressor state on Ukrainian cities, the destruction of critical infrastructure, primarily the energy system.
Oleksandr Lytvynenko expressed gratitude for the economic and diplomatic assistance and drew the attention of his Lithuanian colleagues to Ukraine's preparations for the second Peace Summit. The NSDC Secretary emphasised that the russian federation had initially demonstrated its disinterest in the Peace Summit, while Ukraine's position is clear and understandable - the implementation of the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, based on international law.
For his part, Senior Advisor to the President of Lithuania Kęstutis Budrys expressed his support for the people of Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor, and underlined that Lithuania continues to provide the necessary military assistance to our country and is doing its utmost to bring Ukraine closer to NATO.
The parties expressed hope for the continuation and development of bilateral cooperation and interaction between the two countries.
