NSDC Secretary met with representatives of Greenpeace

On Wednesday, 24 July, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Lytvynenko met with a delegation of the global environmental organisation Greenpeace.

At the beginning of the meeting, the NSDC Secretary congratulated the representatives of the organisation on the opening of the Greenpeace regional office in Ukraine and informed them about current security issues related, in particular, to environmental protection.

The Greenpeace representatives spoke about the results of their work in Ukraine and assured that they would continue to address the issue of energy security, radiation monitoring and the humanitarian component.

The parties expressed hope for fruitful cooperation in the framework of bilateral dialogue.
