Oleksandr Lytvynenko: Ukraine needs modern air defence systems and missiles thereof
Ukraine lacks modern air defence systems and missiles to successfully repel russian attacks. This was emphasised by Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, during a meeting with a delegation from the GLOBSEC think-tank on Monday, 22 April.
In the course of the meeting, the parties exchanged their views on the current security challenges in the region and worldwide, the situation on the frontline, Ukraine's needs for modern air defence systems and missiles, and strengthening of international partners' support for Ukraine en route to its victory.
On behalf of the delegation, John Barter, Senior Vice President of GLOBSEC, expressed the support for the Ukrainian people in their fight against the russian aggressor.
The parties highlighted the need to expand cooperation and interaction on several tracks. In particular, the importance of implementing ways to demine the territories of Ukraine, strengthening the capacities of the defence industry, and coordinated work on data exchange.
