Oleksandr Lytvynenko: russia intensifies its propaganda and disinformation campaign against Ukraine

narada 17042024.jpgThe russian federation is intensifying its activity against Ukraine in the information environment. This was emphasised by Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Lytvynenko, during a working meeting on information security under martial law with representatives of strategic communications structures on Wednesday, 17 April.

narada 170420245.jpgAccording to Oleksandr Lytvynenko, it is possible to counter these threats in the information environment through a coordinated and timely response to hostile narratives, and by forming a proactive position in creating our own content.

narada 170420246.jpg"Interaction between representatives of the relevant structures of the Defence Forces of Ukraine will allow us to outpace and defeat the enemy not only on the battlefield, but also in the information environment", - said the Secretary of the NSDC Office.

narada 170420242.jpgThe participants of the meeting discussed ways to counter russian disinformation, including the use of strategic communications under martial law, the use of social media as a source of information, interaction between the structures and journalists, promotion of truthful, fact-based narratives about russian military aggression in Ukraine, and a more rapid response to events in the world.
