Oleksii Danilov: The civilised world must pull together to achieve prosperity and security in the world
Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksii Danilov met with a delegation from NATO Headquarters chaired by NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Boris Ruge.
The parties discussed the security situation in Ukraine and the world, joint actions of the Ukrainian state and the international community to counter russian aggression, and the supply of Western military assistance.
Oleksii Danilov emphasised the immutability of the process of russia’s decolonisation: “This process is a challenge for the civilised world, so the world must pull together to achieve prosperity and security.”
For his part, Boris Ruge assured of NATO’s continued support for Ukraine. He underlined that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is continuously working to ensure that the Alliance provides comprehensive assistance to Ukraine.
“When Jens Stoltenberg talks about helping Ukraine, he always underscores that this is not a charity but an investment in the security of the Alliance. We are committed to Ukraine’s integration into NATO to ensure its security and inviolability in the future”, – he said.
