Holding elections in Ukraine is possible only after the end of hostilities. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov on Radio Liberty on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

"The state must ensure the voting of all eligible citizens without exception. And it is extremely difficult to do this during the war," Oleksiy Danilov said.

In this context, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine stated that the authorities will act in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine and the law, and will not violate the law.
