Oleksiy Danilov: Ukraine has nothing to do with possible russian provocations at the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant
Ukraine has nothing to do with the possible provocation at the Kursk nuclear power plant. This was stated by Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, on Suspilne TV channel on Tuesday, 15 August 2023.
"I don't know how sick you have to be to make provocations at your nuclear power plant. I emphasise once again: we do not rule out any development of events, but we have nothing to do with it," he said, adding that Ukraine strikes exclusively at military targets. "We are not destroying schools, hospitals, kindergartens," the NSDC Secretary stressed.
According to Oleksiy Danilov, the russian authorities are using tried and tested tactics to intimidate their own population - committing terrorist acts, keeping their citizens in constant tension to neutralise threats to the ruling regime.
