NCSCC expands its analytical capabilities with USAID support
The National Cybersecurity Coordination Center at the NSDC of Ukraine has received access to modern analytical platforms from the USAID Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure Project. This will allow the NCSCC to improve the quality of its cybersecurity analysis and the ability to predict potential cyber threats.
"The NCSCC is constantly developing its capabilities to detect potential and real cyber threats. New analytical products will improve situational awareness and increase the efficiency of information exchange with all stakeholders. We are grateful to the U.S. Government for its ongoing support and assistance in building Ukraine's national cybersecurity system," Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Serhiy Demedyuk said.
The use of modern tools will help the NCSCC to expand the capabilities of its own information system to more effectively collect information about cyber incidents, provide analytical assessment of the state of cybersecurity of the state and critical infrastructure facilities, help them effectively respond to cyber incidents and prevent cyber threats, as well as ensure coordination of the process of responding to critical cyber incidents.
Thus, the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity has a permanent Joint Response Team for Cyber Incidents/Cyber Attacks, which includes technical specialists of the main cybersecurity entities of the state, whose activities are directed by the team leader, who is the Deputy Head of the NCSCC.
"russia's unprovoked aggression against Ukraine continues, and the U.S. Government continues to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine, including in the area of cybersecurity," said Christopher Abrams, Director of the Office of Economic Growth at USAID Mission to Ukraine, at an official ceremony with the participation of the NSDC and NCSCC leadership. - "We hope that these analytical tools will contribute to the important work done by the NCSCC, as effective coordination is a prerequisite for a coordinated response of all cybersecurity actors to existing and potential cyber threats.
