On May 23, 2023, a practical workshop was held on the establishment and functioning of the national critical infrastructure protection system: physical and cyber protection of critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine

The event was attended by representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, sectoral and functional bodies, and the NSDC Staff - Head of the Critical Infrastructure Security Service Iryna Tymoshenko.

The seminar was organized by the Department of Critical Infrastructure the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine with the support of CRDF Global and the U.S. Department of State.

The participants discussed the peculiarities of maintaining and filling out the Register of Critical Infrastructure Objects, the procedure for classifying objects as critical infrastructure, the stages of building a national critical infrastructure protection system, and the draft National Plan for the Protection and Ensuring the Security and Resilience of Critical Infrastructure.

The participants also emphasized the tasks of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine to protect critical infrastructure facilities.
