NCSCC joined the international conference "Cyber Warfare: Intelligence, Protection and Counteraction"
On 20 April 2023, Serhiy Prokopenko, Head of the NCSCC Support Service of the NSDC Staff Serhiy Prokopenko, took part in the international conference "Cyber Warfare: Intelligence, Protection and Counteraction".
The event was organised by the Kruty Heroes Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies with the support of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center at the NSDC of Ukraine, the Communications and Cybersecurity Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and international partners CRDF Global, E-Governance Academy (Estonia), Regional Cyber Defence Centre (Lithuania) and Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (Bulgaria).
The purpose of the conference is to analyse ways in which research teams from European countries can cooperate in modern peace and security projects, as well as to use modern cyber training grounds and platforms to train cybersecurity professionals.
"Now we need to focus on an in-depth analysis of Ukraine's experience in cyber warfare and the possibilities of predicting the development of the situation. And we must share this experience with our international partners, interacting at all levels - intergovernmental, private, and academic. Only such cooperation will help create new approaches to counteract our common enemy and help prevent future cyberattacks more effectively," said Serhiy Prokopenko, opening the event.
The conference was attended by representatives of the security and defence sector of Ukraine, the United States, Norway and Estonia, who discussed issues related to cryptographic cybersecurity solutions, intelligent analysis of incidents and signalling structures in cyberspace, support for cyber defence solutions, etc.
As part of the conference, participants will have the opportunity to take part in cyber competitions and test their knowledge and skills in countering modern threats in cyberspace.
