Representatives of the NCSCC briefed the students of the National Defence University of Ukraine on the functioning of the national cybersecurity system and the capabilities of the NCSCC

More than 50 students of the course of training of strategic level officers for the security and defence sector of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi got acquainted with the principles of functioning and development of the cybersecurity system of Ukraine, as well as the technical capabilities of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center at the NSDC of Ukraine.

The meeting at the NCSCC's technical platform was attended by Head of the Information Security and Cybersecurity Service of the Staff of NSDC of Ukraine, the NCSCC Secretary Natalia Tkachuk, and NCSCC specialists.

During the event, they discussed the national cybersecurity system of Ukraine and the importance of the coordinating role and place of the NCSCC. The servicemen were demonstrated the technical capabilities of the NCSCC, which are used by specialists to quickly detect and analyse cyber incidents. The problematic issues of cybersecurity and ways to solve them were also discussed.

"The cyber component of this war is no less important than the military one. All representatives of the security and defence sector must understand the importance of the cybersecurity component in the national security system and the need to strengthen the state's cyber defence. Therefore, cooperation with the leading educational institutions of Ukraine remains one of the priorities of the NCCC in building the capacity of the National Cybersecurity System of Ukraine," Natalia Tkachuk said.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of coordination in responding to cyber attacks. The NCSCC experts informed the audience about the technical capabilities and tools for detecting signs of cyber attacks. They also stressed the importance of mutual exchange of information between all entities involved in ensuring cybersecurity in Ukraine, in particular using the NCSCC's MISP platform.
