Oleksiy Danilov: Ukraine will definitely return all occupied territories, including Crimea

Ukraine will definitely return all occupied territories, including Crimea. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, on the air of "Channel 24" on Wednesday, April 5 of this year.

"All lands will be returned, Ukrainian flags will be there, the Ukrainian Constitution and laws will apply," he said. "We will stop at nothing to get our territories back."

He called the russian federation a "cancerous tumor" that "will be excised and thrown into the dustbin of history" in the near future. "This terrorist country will not exist in its current form," Oleksiy Danilov said.

The NSDC Secretary also emphasized that all traitors and collaborators will be held accountable for their crimes, recalling the criminal prosecution for collaborationism and treason. Persons who "got lost" and ended up in Crimea for unknown reasons should realize that they are on someone else's territory and using someone else's property, he said, adding: "They should either leave this territory or bear responsibility for what they have done ".

Oleksiy Danilov also reminded that in March 2021, the NSDC of Ukraine adopted the decision "On the Strategy of Deoccupation and Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol", which was put into effect by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated 03/24/2021 No. 117.

The strategy, he said, provided for the solution of the issue through political and diplomatic means, but with the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, the situation changed, and now the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is working on summarizing proposals from the central executive authorities and public organizations to amend this document. The amended Strategy, Oleksiy Danilov said, must be adopted at a meeting of the NSDC and approved by the Decree of President of Ukraine, and if necessary, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will adopt changes to the legislation.
