Oleksiy Danilov: We can talk about the final victory of Ukraine only if the peace formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is implemented

Victory and lasting peace are possible only if the formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is fulfilled: return to the borders of 1991, responsibility of the fascist putin`s regime for the crimes committed, compensation for the damages caused to Ukraine, security guarantees for our country.

This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, on the air of the "Great Lviv Speaks" program on Thursday, March 9. "This is a victory," he said, adding that if at least one of the clauses of the peace formula is not fulfilled, in particular, not returning to the borders of 1991, there will be no development of the country.

Regarding the next massive missile attack, Oleksiy Danilov noted that this tactic is aimed at making Ukraine inclined towards negotiations with the russian federation. And certain figures, both in the world and in Ukraine, he said, are increasingly beginning to talk about the need for such negotiations. "This is a very dangerous trend," Oleksiy Danilov emphasized. "If we don't put an end to this war today, after a short period of time our children and grandchildren will have to fight."

Responding in this context to questions about the prospects of direct negotiations between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and putin, Oleksiy Danilov stated that this is impossible, and this was recorded in the decision of the NSDC of Ukraine.

Also, the NSDC Secretary said, it is necessary to persistently tell the West that Ukraine protects not only itself, but also NATO countries, "and if, God forbid, something happens to us", the war will spill over into other European countries.

"If someone thinks that the war is over, it is a big mistake. There is a very difficult and difficult work ahead that needs to be done so that the victory is ours," he said.
