Oleksiy Danilov: We are preparing to give a powerful rebuff to a possible offensive of the Russian Federation

Ukraine is preparing to give a powerful rebuff to a possible offensive by the russian federation. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, on Monday, January 31 of this year, on the air of the national telethon (TV-channel "1+1").

The military-political leadership of Ukraine, he emphasized, understands all the threats and challenges, and we are preparing to give a powerful rebuff to a possible offensive by the russian federation. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he said, holds daily negotiations with foreign colleagues about military aid to Ukraine, and work on strengthening defense capabilities continues every day. "This is a challenge for us, but we will withstand it," said the NSDC Secretary. - February 24 of last year was much more difficult, we were alone with the aggressor country, they did not believe in our ability to withstand the blow. Now the situation is completely different."

Answering the question, Oleksiy Danilov noted that the russians' appeal to Iran and North Korea for military aid indicates the inability to produce high-precision missiles in sufficient numbers on the territory of the russian federation. According to the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine, it is now difficult to predict whether such assistance will come to the russian federation from the mentioned countries. "At least we haven't seen Iranian missiles yet," he noted, adding that the missiles the enemy is firing at Ukraine are russian-made.

Regarding the mobilization in Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov reminded that it has been ongoing since February 24 of last year in connection with the introduction of the legal regime of martial law on the territory of Ukraine and the implementation of the defense plan. "It is taking place in a calm, measured manner, they are mobilizing a sufficient number of people who are needed by the Armed Forces," he said.

At the same time, the NSDC Secretary drew attention to the fact that recently, using messengers, the russian federation broadcasts video content that "has nothing to do with the situation" and is aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces.

"Our intelligence warns that the level of informational and psychological operations on the part of the russian federation will grow exponentially, we need to be very careful with information. This is a challenge for the whole world, and not only for Ukraine," said Oleksiy Danilov.
