Oleksiy Danilov: the fsb seeks to destabilize the internal situation in Ukraine

Ukraine must withstand another powerful wave of aggression by the occupiers, in particular, in the information space. Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, announced this on Thursday, January 26, 2018, on Channel 24.

According to Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine, today the fifth department of the fsb is "working to the maximum" on the task of destabilizing the internal situation in Ukraine. "February 24 is approaching, and there are no results, that's why they are conducting such "comprehensive" work," he added.

"Some say that we cannot win, some spread other nonsense. They are now maximally active, and in the near future we can hear many different similar "opinions", he said.

Oleksiy Danilov noted that now, in particular, criminal authorities, who previously cooperated with the fsb and are currently outside Ukraine, have become significantly more active.

At the same time, he emphasized that the situation in Ukraine is under control.

Today, Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine said, the russian federation seeks to seize the entire territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In addition, in recent weeks, the russian federation has been trying to find weak points in the defense of Ukraine, he said.

"How the russians will move forward will depend on many factors, but we see that they are gradually exhausted," he said, noting that the losses of the enemy in the Donetsk-Luhansk direction are more than seven times greater than those of the Ukrainian military.

According to Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine, thanks to the persistent work of the President of Ukraine "from morning to night" on the diplomatic front, the partners provided the necessary heavy armored vehicles, which will bring our victory closer.

He also expressed confidence that the russian federation will not resort to using nuclear weapons. In addition, awareness of the capabilities of Ukraine's partners is an additional argument against "pressing the button", O. Danilov added.

Speaking about the mobilization in the russian federation, Oleksiy Danilov noted that internal discontent will grow, and "it will be impossible to stop it."

Answering a question about the introduction of sanctions against churchmen of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov called this structure a "dangerous institution", reminding that many of its representatives work for the enemy.

In addition, Oleksiy Danilov said, work is ongoing to provide Ukraine with "frozen" russian assets, which is being carried out by the President of Ukraine and the government.
