Oleksiy Danilov: Modern weapons will give us the opportunity to end the war as soon as possible

President of Ukraine Zelenskyi communicates with his Western colleagues every day, convincing them of the need for military assistance to our country. This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, on the air of the nationwide telethon ("We-Ukraine") on Friday, December 13 this year.

According to Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine, it is primarily about heavy weapons: battle tanks, airplanes, long-range missiles.

"Today we are talking about strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine with modern weapons. It is about the amount of this weaponry," he noted.

At the same time, Oleksiy Danilov recalled that at the beginning of the large-scale invasion of russia in February, Ukraine had almost no military support.

"There were 4 magic words - NLAW, JAVELIN, STINGER, BAYRAKTAR, thanks to which, side by side with the people, the Armed Forces resisted the country that called itself the second army of the world," he emphasized.

Today, Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine emphasized, the situation with equipment and capabilities is completely different.

"We sincerely thank our international partners. Modern weapons will give us the opportunity to end this war, which the occupiers shyly call a special operation, as soon as possible. In fact, this is a war launched by an aggressor country, a terrorist country, against its nearest neighbor. But neither mentally nor historically do we want to have anything to do with such a neighbor," Oleksiy Danilov added.
