Oleksiy Danilov: All russians must bear the responsibility for the aggression against Ukraine
Responsibility for the aggression against Ukraine should be borne not only by the leadership of the kremlin, but also by the citizens of the russian federation. This was emphasized by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, on the air of the national telethon (Rada TV channel) on Thursday, December 1 of this year.
"In the 1930s, moscow created an artificial Holodomor on our land, and now it is destroying the civilian population," O. Danilov said, adding that such a policy is a continuation of the genocide of the Ukrainian people.
The Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine noted that since the first day of the large-scale russian invasion, the Ukrainian authorities have been raising the question of compensation for the damages caused by russia, "but, unfortunately, we will not return the dead Ukrainians."
He also emphasized that previously russia managed to manipulate political processes in Ukraine through its agents of influence, but thanks to the principled position of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the NSDC made a number of "tough decisions" regarding individuals and legal entities that lobbied for the so-called "russian world". "This work is still ongoing, we will not stop, and anyone who harms national interests will be held responsible," O. Danilov said.
Answering a question about repeated attacks on the energy system of Ukraine, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense National Committee emphasized: "russia has been trying to destroy the energy system of Ukraine for the last one and a half to two months. However, energy workers are doing everything possible to provide Ukrainians with light. There will be attacks, but we are doing everything to ensure that the power system survives. Keeping his finger on the pulse, the President regularly holds meetings on this issue."
At the same time, O. Danilov highly appreciated the skill of the Ukrainian air defense forces. "Unfortunately, we cannot ensure 100% missile repulsion, but if at the beginning of the war we managed to shoot down 20-30%, now this indicator has increased to 85-90%," he noted.
The Secretary of the NSDC also noted that the number of real partners of Ukraine who provide assistance and are convinced of our victory is constantly increasing. "Thanks to international partners and the Armed Forces, we will definitely win!" - summarized O. Danilov.
