The state of security of critical infrastructure facilities, the main problems, measures to strengthen security, as well as proposals for improving the interaction between operators of critical infrastructure and representatives of the security and defense sector were discussed in the Office of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine by representatives of the Government, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Service of the Security of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the main operators of critical infrastructure facilities during the meeting chaired by Serhiy Demedyuk, Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine.

"The issue of protecting the objects of the fuel and energy complex from the attacks of the occupiers is especially urgent on the eve of winter, because they will be targeted by enemy actions. We have to ensure the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to consumers of Ukraine during the heating season, therefore it is important that the facilities of the energy industry are under the control of the Air Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," S. At the same time, Iryna Tymoshenko, head of the critical infrastructure security service of the NSDC Apparatus of Ukraine, emphasized that, given the current threats, it is very important to protect the country's energy infrastructure.

"This meeting was convened by the Apparatus of the Council due to the need to resolve problematic issues arising at critical infrastructure facilities of the main operators - Naftogaz of Ukraine, Energoatom, Ukrenergo, in order to prevent a possible man-made and environmental disaster," she noted.

As a result of the meeting, a number of proposals were developed for interested ministries and departments.
